Tags

Tags are one or several connected keywords. They are used to harmonize and match information stored in profiles, needs and customers.


Tags are available for different categories as skills, tools, fields of study, branches, universities and companies. Tags can include synonyms, alternate spellings and translations. They can also be structured in parent-child relations, allowing to include child tags when searching for the parent one.

Table

  • ID - Tag ID.
  • Structure - Position of the tag in the structure.
  • Name - Name of the tag.
  • Keywords - Keywords associated with the tag.
    • Add - New keywords can be added for the tag.
    • Delete - Available keywords can be deleted.
    • Thick ✔ - Defines the main keyword for one language, which will be displayed in the application.

Options

  • Edit - Allows changing the name of the tag and managing related keywords. Also permits to change the category between competencies and tools.
  • Delete - Deletes the tag and all related keywords.
  • Merge - Allows to merge the keywords of a tag into another tag.
  • Move - Allows to set a tag as a child of another tag.

Adding a new tag

New tag

New tags can be added by clicking the +New link below the table. The name and the category of the tag must be defined. Once added, associated keywords can be added to the tag by clicking the Add link on top. Tags can also be added in profiles, needs or customers if the permission is granted to the users.


New tag keyword

When adding a new keyword, the name and the language must be defined. Existing options are English, French, German, Spanish and General. General allows to define a default keyword that will be used if there is no language specific one. One main keyword can be defined for each language.
